Beetlejuice
Watch the ghost with the most this Halloween!
Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis star as Adam and Barbara Maitland, a sweetly dull New England couple who die in a car crash and return as ghosts to their beloved country house. Their timing is terrible: the house has just been bought by the Deetzes, a family of insufferable New Yorkers with very strong opinions about interior design. When their own amateur hauntings fail to clear the place out, the Maitlands call on a freelance "bio-exorcist" from the other side. Word of advice: whatever you do, don't say his name three times. With Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, Jeffrey Jones.
Best of all, this one's on the house. As part of their Halloween celebrations, tickets are completely free courtesy of Cambie Village, so grab yours before they vanish into the Netherworld!
Costumes are encouraged. Seating is assigned, and all guests must have their tickets scanned by 9:45 am to guarantee their seats. Once the credits roll, the festivities carry on along W. 18th Ave from 12:00 pm with a haunted house, trick-or-treating, live music, pumpkin decorating at the Choices Market tents and more.

BEETLEJUICE (Tim Burton, 1988 / PG / 92 mins) Newly dead and stuck haunting their own house, Adam and Barbara Maitland are horrified when a pretentious family moves in and starts redecorating. Unable to frighten the living on their own, the ghostly couple summon Betelgeuse, a lewd and unpredictable freelance spirit who promises results. But once he has been called, Betelgeuse turns out to be far harder to get rid of than the people they wanted gone.
