Martin Scorsese's 'The Color of Money' (40th Anniversary Restoration)

Just in time for it's 40th Anniversary, Martin Scorsese's THE COLOR OF MONEY has been given the restoration treatment.

Set 25 years after the events of THE HUSTLER, Paul Newman reprises his role as “Fast Eddie” Felson. Eddie still plays pool, but not for money and not with the high-stakes, dangerous kinds of players who drove him from the game. He is a liquor salesman, a successful one, judging by the long, white Cadillac he takes so much pride in. One night, he sees the talented but very green Vincent Lauria (Tom Cruise) playing pool, and the kid is so good that Eddie’s memories are stirred, and he decides to return to the game, and proposes a partnership. With Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Helen Shaver, John Turturro.

"A joy to see two masters (Scorsese and Newman) at ease with their work, and one, Cruise, in the making." (Empire Magazine)

"A solidly crafted entertainment that, for the most part, strikes a successful balance between commercial necessity and personal expression." (Chicago Reader)
