Based on a true story, of Mike and Claire Sardinia, two down-on-their-luck musicians (Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson, in a Golden Globe-nominated performance) a couple who found love and success as a Neil Diamond tribute band, "Lightning & Thunder," in Milwaukee. The film follows their journey from meeting at an impersonator gig to building a family and a celebrated local act, blending heartfelt highs with dramatic lows with resilience, humor, and lots of Diamond's music.
